Nationwide Hire Solutions (formerly known as Nationwide Hire Solutions ) was founded in November 1995 by Howard Piper in response to increased demand by shopfitters for help with hire in different and unfamiliar locations. The help that shopfitters needed was for any hire and this included tools, waste, powered access, and accommodation.
We continue to deliver excellent customer service and are proud of the enthusiastic feedback we get from our customers via Trustpilot.

1995 – In November, the business was founded by Howard Piper
2003 – Developing SME breadth through word of mouth & local advertising
2006 – Yell national advertising commenced and development of transactional trade with B&Q contractors
2009 – Contracts implemented with 4hr service commitment
2010 – B&Q contract implemented fully during Economic recovery. Developed supply chain rapidly to meet demand
2015 – Howard Piper absence from the business due to illness and eventual passing. Management team steadied the ship whist improving GP & EBITDA
2017 – Jonathan Holley appointed MD. Strategy development and implementation of marketing and rebranding
2018 – Nationwide Hire Logo and branding refresh
April 2019 – Relocation to new head office
June 2019 – Livingbridge invests
October 2019 – Management Buyout (MBO) – backed by private equity firm Livingbridge, Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank
April 2020 – Covid-19
August 2020 – Launch partnership with Alcumus SafeContractors
October 2020 – New branding (photoshoot, advert banners, video) and transition Nationwide to Nationwide Hire Solutions logos
November 2020 – New website launched
March 2021 – Momentum, our hiring digital platform, was launched
April 2021 – Nationwide Hire to become Nationwide Hire Solutions
September 2021 – Anthony Pearlgood joins as new CEO
April 2023 – John Moran joins as CFO
June 2023 – Tracey Gorman joins as Sales & Marketing Director
October 2023 – John Hopkins joins as Supply Chain Director
October 2023 – Mark Burton joins as Chief Operating Officer
